Roc Nation CEO Supports Kendrick Lamar as the "Perfect Choice" for Super Bowl Halftime Show

Roc Nation‘s CEO has co-signed Kendrick Lamar as the definitive pick to headline this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Addressing the controversy, Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez expressed that the Compton-native rapper was the “right person” for the performance.

Highlighting Lamar’s achievements over the past year, Perez told NOLA:

“Kendrick’s richness and culture is really a nod to New Orleans.” she also said, “We have to take into consideration [that] whoever is going to perform can speak to music culture, regardless of age. It has to nod to real music, regardless of the genre. And Kendrick does that.”
