Pope Francis rushed to hospital

Pope Francis' trip to Lebanon has been postponed due to 'health concerns,' just days after he was first seen in a wheelchair

Catholic pontiff, Pope Francis, was admitted to a medical facility in the early hours of Friday.

The Vatican announced that Francis was transported to the hospital for diagnostic evaluations and to continue his treatment for persistent bronchitis.

In confirmation of the situation, the Vatican stated that the pontiff was taken to the Policlinico Agostino Gemelli.

Pope Francis, who is 88 years of age, has served as pope since 2013 and has experienced episodes of influenza and various health complications multiple times over the preceding two years.

In early February, Pope Francis was unable to present a public address owing to a persistent health issue, specifically bronchitis.

CREEBHILLS reports that during the weekly general audience at the Vatican, the pope, who oversees a congregation of 1.4 billion Catholics globally, requested a priest to recite his prepared remarks in his stead.

The 88-year-old pontiff articulated that he was incapable of reading it aloud personally.

It is noteworthy that the pope had to pause his sermon midway and solicited a colleague to complete the remainder of the address.

He ascribed the interruption to respiratory difficulties.

The pope has been compelled to modify his schedule on numerous occasions due to his deteriorating health, particularly concerning respiratory ailments that exacerbate during the winter season.
