The Sag Harbor Village Police Department has named the rookie officer who arrested Justin Timberlake on DUI suspicion Officer of the Year for June 2024.
Michael Arkinson, the young cop who stopped Timberlake, reportedly did not recognize the pop star at the time of the arrest.
According to insiders, Timberlake muttered, “This is going to ruin the tour,” to which Arkinson responded, “What tour?” Timberlake then clarified, “The world tour.”
The arrest happened on June 18, 2024, shortly after midnight when Timberlake was pulled over after leaving the American Hotel in Sag Harbor.
Timberlake later pled guilty to a reduced violation of driving with ability impaired, ensuring that he would not have a criminal record.
At a January 31 ceremony, Police Chief Rob Drake praised Arkinson for his outstanding record, highlighting that he had made the most arrests and summonses in the department over the past year.
