Former talk show host Wendy Williams was taken away by ambulance Monday after she threw a handwritten note out the window of her New York assisted living facility, pleading for help.
According to law enforcement sources, the note, which read “Help! Wendy!!”, led authorities to conduct a wellness check at around 11:15 a.m.
Williams, 60, who has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia, was seen at the facility’s window, waving her arms and speaking on the phone before being escorted out by police. She was then helped into an awaiting ambulance.
The incident comes as Williams continues her legal battle to end her court-ordered guardianship, which has been in place since 2022.
Her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, previously claimed the former TV star is “permanently disabled and incapacitated.” However, Williams insists she is of sound mind and has described her situation as being “held in a prison.”
Meanwhile, reports surfaced that Williams was set to return to TV for the first time amid her ongoing health struggles, though it’s unclear if her appearance would have been in person or over the phone.
This latest development has once again sparked concern among fans and supporters, many of whom have questioned the nature of her guardianship and overall well-being.
