Portugal’s star player, Cristiano Ronaldo, has been honored by Guinness World Records for the most wins as an international player.
The award was given to him on Sunday night after achieving 132 victories with the Portugal national team.
The Al Nassr and Portugal captain received the prestigious recognition before his team’s UEFA Nations League quarter-finals second leg match against Denmark.
Ronaldo contributed a goal in their 5-3 extra-time victory, propelling them to the Semi Finals of the tournament.
Having played international football for over two decades since his debut in August 2003, Ronaldo continues to break records. He holds the title of all-time leading goalscorer in men’s international football, with 135 goals in 217 appearances.
With over 900 career goals in professional football for both country and club, including stints at Real Madrid, Manchester United, Juventus, and Al-Nassr, his legacy as a goal-scoring machine is solidified. He remains Real Madrid’s top scorer with an impressive 450 goals.
