Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has broken her silence following a tense altercation with fellow actress Laide Bakare at the premiere of Owambe Thieves, a movie by Eniola Ajao, held on Sunday.
Drama erupted on the red carpet when Eniola reportedly snubbed Laide’s request for a joint photo, allegedly stating, “We are not friends.” The moment, witnessed by several onlookers, quickly escalated into a verbal exchange between the two stars, sparking offline and online buzz.
Reacting to the snub, Laide Bakare went live on Instagram on Monday, openly dragging Eniola and accusing her of ungratefulness and arrogance. In her outburst, Laide claimed she gave Eniola a chance in Nollywood when others looked down on her due to her looks.
However, in a sharp contrast, Eniola took the high road on Tuesday, posting a message on Instagram promoting peace, unity, and mutual respect — without directly naming Laide.
“Life has a way of teaching us that true strength lies not in conflict, but in unity… Let love lead,” she wrote, alongside a carousel of glamorous photos.
She continued:
“There is no need for jealousy when we can all succeed. Your success does not diminish mine, just as mine does not take away from yours.”
