Afrobeats sensation Chimamanda Pearl Chukwuma, also known as Qing Madi, expressed her concerns about the Nigerian music industry, describing it as “so dark.”
The 18-year-old singer echoed the sentiments of her peers, including Reekado Banks, who recently spoke out about a “demonic” music executive hindering emerging talents in the industry.
On her Instagram story, Qing Madi wrote, “The industry is so dark.”
Qing Madi previously faced backlash for discussing her faith in Jesus Christ on social media, resulting in a loss of followers. Despite this, she stands by her decision and has no regrets.
Similar allegations about the Nigerian music industry being controlled by a “cabal” were made in the past by Kizz Daniel. It seems that concerns about the industry’s practices and challenges are continuing to surface.
