Celebrity fashion designer Toyin Lawani has come to the defense of Angela Okorie after Dr Bea Aesthetics publicly criticized the actress’s appearance in a recent viral video, speculating she underwent a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).
Dr Bea questioned the rising trend of cosmetic enhancements among Nigerian actresses, suggesting it distracts from their acting craft.
Her comments sparked backlash, with Toyin Lawani accusing the doctor of hypocrisy and body-shaming.
“You’re literally carrying another person’s face on your face and advising others on moderation,” Toyin fired back on Instagram.
Toyin, who clarified she’s never had a BBL but supports women’s freedom to enhance their bodies, urged people to mind their business and stop policing others’ choices.
Angela Okorie has not confirmed nor denied undergoing any cosmetic surgery, choosing instead to remain silent amid the online chatter.
