Nigerian singer and songwriter Seyi Shay has revealed that she once dated renowned rapper Vector — a relationship that began before her rise to fame.
Speaking in a recent interview, Seyi Shay said their romantic history explained the undeniable chemistry they shared in the 2018 Nollywood movie, Lara and the Beat, where both stars played love interests.
“Vector and I… we were actually an item,” she confessed.
Recalling a moment from the movie set, she added:
“She [the director] was like, ‘Oh yeah, do the kiss!’”
The Right Now singer clarified that although the relationship ended years ago, the two have remained on good terms.
“He and I have remained great friends regardless,” she said.
Their past romance may be long over, but the bond between Seyi Shay and Vector clearly lives on — both personally and professionally.
