“You ain’t never seen an anime” – Megan Thee Stallion Reveals Anime Series in the Works for Prime Video at DreamCon

Megan Thee Stallion Sparks Dating Rumors with NBA Player Torrey Craig at Bulls vs. Celtics Game

Megan Thee Stallion has just added another impressive title to her growing résumé — anime creator.

While appearing at DreamCon this past weekend, the Houston-born rapper surprised fans with a major announcement: she’s developing her very own anime series for Prime Video.

Dressed as Yoruichi Shihōin from Bleach, Megan teased the project during a panel, saying:

“You ain’t never seen an anime like this ever in your life.”

Although she didn’t share many plot details, the Savage rapper did reveal she’s collaborating with Carl Jones, the producer behind the acclaimed series The Boondocks and Black Dynamite — a strong sign the show will bring bold storytelling and cultural punch.

This isn’t Megan’s first dive into the anime world. A longtime anime fan, she’s referenced anime in her lyrics, done anime-themed cosplay, and even partnered with Crunchyroll in 2020 for an anime-inspired streetwear line.

“I’m half anime character, half rapper,” she said. “I like how you see a character start off weak, go through training, and grow into their power. I apply that to my life a lot.”

The announcement comes on the heels of her Hot Girl Summer swimwear collection launch during PARAISO Miami Swim Week on May 29.

With a new anime series, chart-topping music, fashion ventures, and now screen production, Megan Thee Stallion proves again that she’s not just a rapper — she’s a full-blown creative force.
