Reality TV star and model Faith Morey has opened up for the first time about a private battle with cancer that completely transformed her outlook on life.
Speaking on the Tea With Tay podcast, the Real Housewives of Lagos star revealed that she was diagnosed with cancer about four to five years ago—a life-altering moment that forced her to reflect on her purpose and the legacy she wants to leave for her son.
“I just wanted to spend as much time as I wish I had with my kid,” she said.
“And when it changed for me was about 4–5 years ago when I went to the doctor and he told me that I have cancer.”
At the time, Faith had quietly stepped away from the limelight to live a slower-paced life on a ranch, something she described as “too relaxed.” She said the diagnosis was a wake-up call.
“Most people didn’t know about that. I remember just looking at [the doctor] and all I thought about was — what will people tell my child about me?”
The mother of one revealed that she made a personal vow to God: if she survived, she would never “play small” again.
“I told God that if I go through this and I come out alive, I would never play small.”
Since then, Faith has returned to the spotlight with renewed purpose, continuing to grow her modeling and fashion career while inspiring others through her story of resilience and strength.
Faith Morey shares a son with her ex-husband, American businessman Randy Morey.
