Controversial activist VeryDarkMan has openly criticized billionaire reality TV star Kiddwaya over his recent social media appeal for public donations to support victims of the Benue attacks.
Kiddwaya had shared a post requesting funds to aid the victims. Still, the move sparked intense backlash from Nigerians, who questioned why the wealthy star was soliciting money from the public rather than contributing personally. The criticism led Kiddwaya to delete the post.
Reacting to the controversy, VeryDarkMan mocked Kiddwaya’s approach, calling it hypocritical given the star’s frequent public displays of wealth.
“The first thing you did was drop an account number. How do you know what the Benue people need when you’ve never even been there? You’re sitting wherever you are, writing a letter and asking for money. I’m happy Nigerians called you out until you deleted the post — that pleased me,” VeryDarkMan said in a video.
He further accused Kiddwaya of flaunting his riches while failing to lead by example in times of crisis.
The exchange has since sparked widespread online debate about celebrity responsibility during national tragedies.
