Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s ‘Luther’ Hits 1 Billion Spotify Streams in Record Time

SZA expresses interest in a Kendrick Lamar collab album

Kendrick Lamar and SZA just proved once again why they’re a musical force to be reckoned with – their hypnotic hit ‘Luther’ has officially reached a major milestone on Spotify.

‘Luther’ has crossed the 1 billion streams mark on the platform.

Released last November as part of Lamar’s ‘GNX’ album, ‘Luther’ didn’t just reach a billion, it did so faster than any of his previous hits, clocking in at just seven months, overtaking ‘Not Like Us’ as his quickest to the mark.

While this marks a major milestone for both artists, this is Kendrick Lamar’s 11th track to enter the billion-stream club, while SZA racks up her 8th.

The track, celebrated for its rich chemistry and 1980s-inspired R&B vibes, also dominated the Billboard Hot 100 for 13 weeks and became a tour staple during the duo’s ‘Grand National Tour.’

With such seismic and enduring success, ‘Luther’ is shaping up to be a timeless record.
