TikTok Star Peller Opens Up on How Parents' Divorce Affected His Academic Life

Popular Nigerian TikToker Peller has revealed how his parent’s divorce had a lasting effect on his academic performance during his formative years.

Speaking in a candid conversation with TV host Frank Edoho, Peller reflected on his struggles in secondary school, attributing his poor results to the absence of parental guidance and discipline.

“When I was in secondary school, I used to fail my exams,” he admitted.

He compared his situation to that of his peers, whose parents were actively involved in their academic lives.

According to Peller, his classmates often received punishment from their fathers for poor grades—something he never experienced due to the split in his family.

“My classmates, their fathers would punish them for their low marks, but no one punished me at home because my parents were divorced,” he said.

Peller explained that he was living with his mother, who was occupied with struggling to make ends meet, leaving little room for academic supervision.

“I was staying with my mother and even she was hustling,” he added.

The social media star’s heartfelt admission sheds light on how family dynamics and emotional stability can impact a child’s education and discipline.
