Florida rapper Kodak Black has seemingly gone public with his long-standing feud with NBA YoungBoy, criticizing the Louisiana star’s new album Make America Slime Again and calling it “straight trash.”

In a clip shared by Livebitez on Sunday, July 6, Kodak (aka Yak) took to Instagram Stories to blast his former collaborator. “I just heard lil bruh album — it’s straight trash. I don’t even like that,” he said. “And I like YoungBoy music, but that sh*t ass tho.”

NBA YoungBoy Sentenced Following Guilty Plea In Drug Fraud Case

Kodak Black and YoungBoy first linked up in 2017 on fan-favorite tracks like “Water” and “Chosen One,” showcasing strong chemistry and street-hardened lyricism. But trouble began brewing in 2018 when YoungBoy affiliate Quando Rondo torched Kodak’s Sniper Gang merch. Matters worsened in 2019 when YoungBoy dated Kodak’s ex, then later dropped “Letter 2 Kodak” while Kodak Black was serving a federal sentence.

Their relationship spiraled further in 2020, after Kodak accused YoungBoy of cooperating with authorities during a case involving Iyanna Mayweather. YoungBoy clapped back via a fiery Instagram Live, igniting a war of words.

Kodak Black continued sending subliminal shots through tracks like “Dirty K” but signaled interest in squashing the beef. That reconciliation finally came in January 2023, when both rappers laughed it off during a FaceTime call — joking about gumbo and seemingly putting their drama to rest.
