VeryDarkMan Defends Peter Obi, Counters Presidential Aide Daniel Bwala Over Benue Visit Allegation

VeryDarkMan Defends Peter Obi,

Controversial activist VeryDarkMan has responded to remarks made by Daniel Bwala, a presidential aide, who accused Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, of lacking empathy for not visiting victims of violence in Benue State.

Bwala had earlier claimed that Peter Obi failed to show solidarity with the victims of recent attacks in Benue and suggested that VeryDarkMan himself had demonstrated more compassion by visiting the scene.

However, in a recent video shared online, VeryDarkMan refuted Bwala’s claims, stating that Obi attempted to visit the state in April 2025 but was allegedly barred by the Benue State Governor.

“Mr Bwala, you said Peter Obi wasn’t there and lacks empathy. Let me break it down,” VeryDarkMan said.
“I’m not trying to support Peter Obi here, but in April 2025, Peter Obi was stopped from going into Benue State by the governor. Since Peter Obi and him people start the ADC thing, all of una just dey restless. Wike go talk today, you go talk tomorrow, and them never even give am presidential ticket yet.”

His remarks come amid growing tensions in political circles following rumours of a potential alliance between Peter Obi and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
