Just six months after saying “I do,” NBA star Dwight Howard and rapper-turned-Love & Hip-Hop star Amy Luciani are calling it quits.
According to court documents filed on July 1, 2025, at a Georgia courthouse, Amy is officially seeking a divorce, citing that the marriage is “irretrievably broken” with no prospect of reconciliation.
Amy Seeks Fair Split and Alimony
In the filing, Amy is requesting the court to divide marital assets equitably and is also seeking alimony.
Though the documents didn’t detail any specific disputes over finances or property, her move to request alimony suggests a formal and legal approach to closing the chapter on their brief union.
Amy Luciani Breaks Silence: “I Mentioned a Prenup First”
Following a wave of speculation online, Amy took to social media to clear the air in a heartfelt statement:
“With such a private moment like a marriage ending, I really do want to keep a lot private, but it’s hard to watch this narrative spreading quickly about me,” she began.
She revealed that contrary to rumors, she never asked Dwight for a dollar and had even proposed signing a prenuptial agreement before the marriage—a request she claims Dwight declined.
“I told him I want to sign a prenup because I believe what you worked for is yours. I’m not the type of woman to take what’s not mine… I do not want any of his assets! Not a car, not his properties, not a business,” she wrote.
Amy emphasized that her relationship was based on love, not financial gain, adding:
“Believe it or not, some of us women really date/marry for love.”
A Short-Lived Romance
The pair tied the knot earlier this year, and while their relationship seemed picture-perfect on social media, it appears things quickly unraveled behind the scenes. Neither Dwight nor his representatives have publicly commented on the split yet.
