Durban, South Africa – Reality TV personality and Gagasi FM radio presenter Minnie Ntuli has issued a heartfelt public apology following a heated confrontation with fellow Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) cast member Londie London, which aired during the reunion special on Showmax.
Viewers were left stunned after unseen footage from the cast’s trip to the Maldives revealed Minnie repeatedly pushing Londie’s forehead in a tense moment. While Londie remained calm, the aggressive nature of the encounter sparked backlash across social media and fan communities.
The incident, which dates back to Season 5’s group trip, was reportedly fueled by comments Londie allegedly made about Minnie’s parents — a subject Minnie has since revealed to be extremely personal and triggering for her.
In a lengthy statement released on Friday, Minnie took full responsibility for her behavior:
“Over the past few weeks, I’ve had to come face-to-face with the impact of my actions on The Real Housewives of Durban. Watching the show back has been deeply confronting — I am appalled by how I behaved, and I take full accountability for the role I played.”
Minnie expressed sincere regret toward Londie and other affected cast members, stating that she has reached out both privately and publicly, and is open to having personal conversations for reconciliation.
She also acknowledged the impact on her professional career, particularly her role at Gagasi FM:
“While my work on radio and my presence on the show are two separate platforms, both Gagasi FM and I agree that it is important I take accountability.”
The station, she confirmed, has expressed disappointment over the incident. As part of the resolution, Minnie has agreed to undergo professional counselling to better manage her emotional responses and public conduct.
In a move toward personal growth, Minnie announced she would be taking a break from public duties to focus on reflection, healing, and mending relationships:
“This experience has made me realise the ripple effect of my behaviour — I’ve disappointed my family, my friends, my clients, and most importantly, the loyal listeners who tune in to my show every weekday.”
She concluded by thanking her supporters — and critics — for holding her accountable:
“Your words have been an important part of my reflection, and I will carry them with me as I do the work to become a better, more grounded version of myself.”
