Nollywood actress Joke Jigan has candidly opened up about the challenges she has faced since the birth of her second child, baby Mateo, admitting that she has no plans to have another child.
The 36-year-old Yoruba film star shared her thoughts in a recent Instagram post, weeks after announcing the arrival of her newborn son.
“Pregnancy is a blessing but I won’t be doing it again. I tell you that!!! Can’t remember the last time I had a good sleep. To even do business video sef na war,” she wrote, expressing the exhaustion of motherhood.
A Growing Family
Joke Jigan and her husband, businessman Olawale Jegunmah, got engaged in 2017 and eventually tied the knot at the Ikoyi registry in July 2023, following their traditional wedding earlier that year. The couple welcomed their first son before expanding their family with the birth of baby Mateo in June 2025.
Balancing Motherhood and Business
Known for her notable roles in Yoruba-language films, Joke Jigan is also an entrepreneur who runs an online store. Despite the demands of caring for a newborn, she has continued to promote her business on social media — though she admits it hasn’t been easy.
Her honest reflections have resonated with many fans and fellow mothers, who praised her for being open about the realities of postpartum life.
As Joke continues to adjust to life as a mom of two, fans are showing her support both for her acting career and her entrepreneurial hustle.
