Tanzanian music superstar Diamond Platnumz is opening up about why he’s not putting all his eggs in the music basket.
In a recent interview, the Wasafi Records boss revealed that despite his global success, Diamond Platnumz doesn’t fully trust the music industry and has therefore made strategic investments in other sectors.
“I don’t trust the music business. That’s why I’ve put my money into other businesses. Music can be tricky — one day you’re hot, the next day you’re not.”
The Afrobeats and Bongo Flava sensation didn’t mention names, but fans believe he’s speaking from experience — especially with how the industry can shift overnight.
From media houses to real estate and fashion, Diamond Platnumz is securing the bag beyond the stage, and fans are hailing his business acumen.
With streaming revenue often unreliable, it’s clear why he’s playing it safe and building an empire outside the studio.
