Nigeria’s hopes at the African Nations Championship (CHAN) have ended in disappointment following a heavy 4-0 loss to Sudan in their final group stage match.
The home-based Super Eagles entered the game needing a win to keep their qualification hopes alive, but were completely outclassed by a dominant Sudanese side from start to finish.
The result not only ended Nigeria’s CHAN 2025 campaign but also marked one of the team’s heaviest defeats in the competition’s history, prompting calls for a major overhaul of the squad and technical setup.
