Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, will be away from office for three weeks to address health concerns, according to a statement from the state’s Commissioner for Information and Culture, Bala Salisu Zango.
“Taking the necessary steps to prioritize my health is essential so I can continue to serve effectively and make the best decisions for our state,” the commissioner quoted the governor as saying.
During his absence, Deputy Governor Malam Faruk Lawal will take on the governor’s responsibilities. Radda expressed confidence in Lawal’s ability to manage state affairs, assuring that “dedication and commitment will be the same.”
The governor further assured residents that all ongoing programs, initiatives, and projects will continue without disruption. The statement added that the administration looks forward to his return “healthy and ready to continue serving the community.”
