The Indiana Fever have confirmed that guard Sophie Cunningham will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a right knee injury.
Cunningham, who joined the Fever in February after four seasons with the Phoenix Mercury, has been a key rotation player, averaging solid minutes and providing veteran leadership.
The setback is a major blow to Indiana as it continues its playoff push. Team doctors are yet to confirm if surgery will be required, but Cunningham is expected to begin rehab immediately.
