Drake is currently in Copenhagen as part of his EU tour, where he recently showed off the Death Row chain he appears to have purchased.
The rapper has been touring Europe since July, when he launched the $ome $pecial $hows 4 U Tour with a headlining performance at the Wireless Festival in London. His latest stop brought him to Copenhagen, where he is set to perform on August 24 and 25.
Ahead of his performance, Drake shared a post on Instagram, writing “COPENHAGEN NIGHT ONE LESSSGO.” The post featured a photo of 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me album cover alongside an image of Drake wearing what looks like the Death Row Records chain Pac wore on that cover.
2Pac has remained a recurring point of reference in the Drake–Kendrick Lamar feud that dominated 2024. Drake had used an AI-generated version of Pac’s voice on Taylor Made Freestyle, a diss track released before Lamar dropped Euphoria. Lamar, in turn, referenced Pac’s ring in his response, and during a live performance of the track at the Pop Out, altered a lyric to say he would give Drake more respect if he returned the ring to Pac’s family.
Drake’s latest post sparked mixed reactions. While some praised it as clever trolling, others criticized him for “not learning his lesson” after the beef with Lamar.
Beyond the tour, Drake’s legal battle continues. His defamation lawsuit against UMG for Not Like Us recently brought him a minor victory, as a federal judge granted him access to Kendrick Lamar’s UMG contract. However, the details remain sealed, with the court ruling that UMG’s business interests and Lamar’s privacy outweigh public disclosure.
Meanwhile, Lamar has been active on stage, most recently making a surprise appearance at Clipse’s show at The Novo in Los Angeles to perform Chains & Whips. His Grand National Tour is set to resume on September 23 in Mexico City.
