President Bola Tinubu has touched down in Brasília, Brazil for a two-day state visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between both nations.
The presidential aircraft landed at Brasília International Airport around 12:30 a.m. local time (4:30 a.m. Nigerian time), where the President was warmly received by Carlos José Moreno Garcete, Secretary for Africa and the Middle East, alongside the Brazilian Ambassador to Nigeria and senior Nigerian officials, including Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
During the visit, President Tinubu will hold talks with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva at the Planalto Palace. Both leaders are expected to witness the signing of several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) before addressing a joint press conference.
Key areas of discussion will include: Agricultural partnerships, energy transition , regional security , oher issues of mutual strategic interest between Nigeria and Brazil.
