Bayern Munich is on the verge of securing a deal for Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson, with reports in Germany suggesting both parties have reached a preliminary agreement.
According to BILD, the 24-year-old Senegal international has already approved the move to Bavaria, while discussions between Bayern and Chelsea continue over the final details of the transfer.
Bayern president Uli Hoeneß and the club’s hierarchy are said to favour a loan arrangement, making it the most likely outcome.
Jackson, who only joined Chelsea last summer and is tied to a contract running until 2033, has been linked with a potential move to Munich since early this month. At that time, Bayern’s interest came amid their pursuit of Werder Bremen striker Nick Woltemade, who still remains on their shortlist.
If completed, Jackson’s arrival would bolster Bayern’s attacking options as the Bundesliga giants look to strengthen ahead of the new campaign.
