Spotify is stepping up its game with a brand-new feature that allows users to connect directly within the app.
The streaming giant announced that it will begin rolling out an in-app messaging tool, enabling listeners to chat and share music with people they’ve interacted with on Spotify.
The feature will be available on mobile devices in select markets this week for users aged 16 and older, across both free and premium tiers.
With this update, Spotify aims to enhance social engagement on its platform, keeping users more connected through music discovery and sharing.
The move also positions Spotify to better compete with rivals such as Apple Music and Amazon Music, which continue to expand their own user experiences.
