Tuokpe Onuwaje, the ex-wife of former presidential aide Reno Omokri, has publicly accused him of neglecting their special needs child despite maintaining an online image of an involved father.
The drama started after Reno, who once served as the media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, shared a gym photo with his daughter on social media. Captioning the picture, he wrote:
“My beautiful lookalike alakowe daughter joined me in the gym today.”
While the post appeared harmless, it didn’t sit well with Tuokpe, who fired back in a Facebook post, alleging that Reno was more interested in “photo ops” than real parenting.
She wrote:
“Reno Omokri, stop showing up just for photo ops—show up for real life. Our son with special needs is waiting for quality time with his dad, not just the fleeting visits you do with his siblings. You haven’t seen nor spent time with your son since June 2024! Over a year!”
Tuokpe stressed that parenting goes beyond staged photos for social media validation, urging Reno to prioritize consistency and meaningful moments with all his children.
“Real parenting happens in the everyday moments, not just in staged photos. Put down the camera!” she added.
Reno and Tuokpe, who share three children together, have had a rocky relationship since their separation, and this latest accusation has reignited discussions online about absentee fathers and the realities behind public personas.
