Doyin Kukoyi Clears the Air on Rumored Marriage to Taiwo Hassan “Ogogo”

Nollywood actress and broadcaster Doyin Kukoyi has finally addressed long-standing speculations that she is married to veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.

In an interview on Seun Oloketuyi’s YouTube page, Doyin explained that the rumor began from a photo she took with Ogogo while on a movie set where they played husband and wife.

“I was at a movie location with Ogogo, we both played the roles of husband and wife where our daughter got married. The two of us took a picture, and I shared it on my social media page. Some people took the picture and started saying we were married. Till today, a lot of people still believe that I’m married to Ogogo. I took the picture with Ogogo because I loved him,” she said.

Reflecting on her career, the actress revealed that she has been in Nollywood for over three decades, having started out with Daar Communications before fully delving into acting.

Rumors about a romantic relationship between Doyin and Ogogo first made headlines in 2022 after she shared photos of herself with the actor, describing him playfully as her “better half” and “husband.”

The post triggered congratulatory messages from fans, but Ogogo’s daughter jokingly commented, “House don full ma, we no want.” Doyin playfully replied, “Iya oko mi, house no fit full. I don carry my baggage come. Do us the honor of picking the wedding date please.”

The exchange further fueled speculations that the two stars were more than colleagues. However, Doyin has now set the record straight, confirming that the relationship between her and Ogogo remains strictly professional.
