‘Peter Obi said his family will die if he dumps APGA’ – Daniel Bwala

The only chance Peter Obi has to be president is 2039 – Daniel Bwala

Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, has criticized former presidential candidate Peter Obi for what he described as a pattern of moving between political parties for personal interest.

Speaking on a podcast with Nedu Wazobia, Bwala recalled how Obi once declared he would never leave the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), only to later defect to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and eventually to the Labour Party.

“99.9 percent of the political actors in Nigeria today have changed parties three times minimum. My father will say, beat them first before you ask them questions,” Bwala said.

He accused Obi of abandoning parties despite his earlier vows and described his political moves as self-serving. “Peter Obi was in APGA and he said he was never going to leave APGA that his family will die. Peter left for PDP, he left PDP to Labour,” Bwala noted.

He also alleged that Obi dismissed the PDP as a “structure of criminality” when he defected to Labour and further claimed the former governor has not been generous in philanthropy. According to him, Obi’s financial contributions to communities in need were minimal and symbolic rather than impactful.
