Jennifer Lopez is getting candid about love, loss, and moving forward — with no regrets.
During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, the 55-year-old singer and actress shared how she deals with past relationships, joking that once a romance ends, she leaves it firmly in the past.
“Once I’m done, you’re dead to me,” the Kiss of the Spider Woman star quipped, before laughing and adding, “I’m going to get in trouble! This is why I never wanted to come on here. I’ll get in trouble. No, but I’m one of those people, I don’t hold on, to be honest. Not dead to me — but definitely, it’s over, I’m going to move on.”
The Grammy-nominated performer, known for her high-profile love life, has been married four times — to Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, Marc Anthony, and most recently, Ben Affleck.
Reflecting on her early years, Jennifer Lopez opened up about her first love — her high school boyfriend, whom she dated for a decade. She revealed that he has since passed away.
“We didn’t really keep in touch,” Lopez said, recalling the years after she left the Bronx for Los Angeles to pursue dance and acting.
“He was one of the most lovely people ever… I kind of outgrew it in a certain way. He was a real Bronx guy who had a job at the fruit market. And I wanted to do all these big things.”
When the conversation turned to her much-talked-about split from Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez reflected on how her approach to love and fame has evolved.
“I’ve lived my life very out loud,” she admitted. “But now I want to keep romance so much more quiet in my life.”
