Fashion entrepreneur and media personality Tania Omotayo has expressed disbelief over the rising cost of living in Nigeria after discovering that a pack of strawberries was being sold for a staggering ₦50,000 at a supermarket in Lagos.
Taking to her Snapchat page, the former model and creative director of Ziva Lagos questioned how basic fruits could now cost so much amid the country’s worsening economic situation.
Sharing a photo of the price tag, she wrote:
“Are we not finished like this in this country?”
Tania’s post has since sparked conversations online, with many Nigerians echoing her concerns over skyrocketing food prices and inflation.
The fashion mogul, who has often used her platform to comment on lifestyle and social issues, joins the growing number of celebrities voicing frustration over the nation’s high cost of living.
