Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer, Ejimakor Collapses in Kuje Prison

Nnamdi Kanu’s Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, Collapses in Kuje Prison

Aloy Ejimakor, the Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has reportedly collapsed inside Kuje Prison.

Following the incident, Ejimakor was rushed to the Kuje Medical Centre, where he is currently receiving treatment.

The development was confirmed to DAILY POST on Saturday by one of Kanu’s legal representatives, Maxwell Opara.

“Yes, I went to see him and he was admitted at Kuje Medical Centre where they are treating him, and I left some few hours ago,” Opara said.

“The incident happened before I arrived. We got there around 12, and I started hearing the news.

“As one of his lawyers and colleagues, I insisted on seeing him and they eventually took me to him. I saw Sowore and others before they led me to see him.”

Ejimakor’s collapse came just 24 hours after Abubakar Umar Sai’id, the presiding judge of the Kuje Magistrate Court, refused to sign the bail bond for his release.

The lawyer was arrested on Monday alongside 12 others, including Prince Emmanuel Kanu, the younger brother of the IPOB leader, during a “Free Nnamdi Kanu” protest in Abuja.

Following their arrest by the Nigeria Police Force, Ejimakor and the others were subsequently arraigned before the Kuje Magistrate Court.
