Popular Nollywood actress, Judy Austin, has advised young women against rushing into marriage simply because of pregnancy.
Speaking during a viral Instagram live session, Judy cautioned that marrying a man solely because of pregnancy can lead to lifelong regret.
In her words:
“Don’t marry a man because you’re pregnant for him, you will regret it. The first question you should ask yourself is — can I spend the rest of my life with this guy?”
The actress encouraged young women to reflect deeply before making such life-changing commitments, urging them to ensure they possess the emotional and mental maturity required for marriage.
She further advised ladies to take their time to date, learn, and understand people before settling down, noting:
“Date people, learn people, understand that you can’t trust anyone except yourself and God.”
Judy Austin, who has often been in the spotlight for her relationship with actor Yul Edochie, emphasized that marriage is a lifelong journey, not a decision to be made out of pressure or circumstance.
According to her, knowing oneself, growing emotionally, and choosing wisely are the real keys to a lasting and peaceful union.
