Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has publicly criticized her husband’s nephew’s second wife, Judy Austin, over relationship advice she recently shared with young women online.
Earlier this week, Judy — who is married to actor Yul Edochie — urged women to be “intentional” in their relationships. She also advised women not to marry a man simply because they became pregnant for him.
Her remarks quickly attracted attention, given the long-standing controversy surrounding her relationship with Yul, who was previously married when their relationship became public.

Reacting in a lengthy social media post, Rita Edochie accused Judy of hypocrisy, arguing that she was not in a position to advise young women on matters she allegedly violated herself.
“WHEN YOU SEE AN ADVICE THAT CONTRADICTS YOUR PERSON SIMPLY SHUT UP AND REST AT ONE CORNER,” Rita wrote in capital letters.
She further stated that individuals who preach certain standards should embody them in their personal lives.
“IF YOU MUST PREACH IT… THEN YOU MUST BE A PERFECT EXAMPLE,” she added.
Questioning Credibility
Rita directly referenced Judy’s marriage to Yul, suggesting that her advice about not marrying because of pregnancy sounded like “an indirect self-judgement.”
“How can someone boldly preach against an act she’s already guilty of?” she asked.
She went on to criticize what she described as moral inconsistency, arguing that advice must come “from a place of truth.”
“Don’t come online forming saint when your history is loud enough to echo through walls,” she wrote, insisting that public credibility matters when dispensing guidance to younger generations.

Rita Edochie has consistently positioned herself as a vocal supporter of Yul Edochie’s first wife since the controversy erupted years ago. Her latest comments signal that tensions within the extended Edochie family remain unresolved.
