A statement released via her official page confirmed that she died two days ago, following several days in a coma caused by a severe head injury.
“She fell down the stairs while trying to help a woman with her baby carrier and suffered a severe head injury. Despite all efforts, she didn’t make it. She was such a kind, selfless soul — even in her final moments, she was helping someone else,” the post read.
Barbiecue, widely recognized in Wizkid’s fan community — the “FC” — was known for her passionate support of the singer and her active engagement online. Tributes have flooded social media, honoring her as a kind-hearted and selfless individual who often gave to others, even when she had little herself.
“A lot was said about you because of misunderstandings, but one thing they never knew is that you were an angel sent by God,” the post added.
