Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams got candid about love, dating, and personal growth during a panel at BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas on Saturday — months after finalizing her divorce from Simon Guobadia in June.
During the session, a fan in her 30s asked for advice about anxiety around dating. Porsha’s response was both humorous and honest.
“It took me until I was 44 to figure it out,” she admitted. “I’m a hopeless romantic, child. When I find you, you like me, I like you… we’re going to do this, I’m going to do that, and we’re going to be together, right?”
She encouraged the fan to remove the pressure and reassess her approach.
“I would take the anxiousness out of it. You’re going to have to do something different to find someone who truly matches where you are,” she said. “Yes, you’re in your early 30s… you gotta wait ’til 44 to figure it out like me. Take it out.”
Porsha ended her advice with a fiery punchline that sent the crowd cheering:
“Date knowing who you are and knowing what you want — and if you see a red flag, run b***h!”
On RHOA’s Legacy
The reality star — who appeared on RHOA from 2012 to 2021 before returning last year — was also asked whether the show gets the recognition it deserves as a “Black cast.”
Porsha agreed wholeheartedly.
“We know we bad b****es,” she declared, adding that the audience’s support and the show’s numbers speak for themselves. She also acknowledged the love fans showed her during her three-year hiatus from the franchise.
“I’m Dating… but Focusing on Someone”
At another BravoCon panel, Getting Lucky at the Love Hotel, Porsha gave a little more insight into her current love life.
“I’m dating, but I have started to focus on someone,” she revealed. “I hope that this could be something, but we’ll see. You know, still just dating.”
This follows her October appearance at CultureCon in New York, where she surprised fans by confirming she is seeing both a man and a woman.
“Of the people I’m talking to now… he is nice — and she is nice,” she shared.
Porsha explained that dating non-narcissistic partners has been an adjustment.
“I’m having a hard time opening up because they’re not narcissists,” she confessed. “Narcissists love bomb you. They’re perfect, they mirror you. These ones are actually challenging me… and I’m not feeling safe to open up yet.”
She said her therapist helped her realize she also has to evolve.
“If you want something different, you have to be different. I have to soften up a bit,” she said. “I can’t expect elaborate things. I have to expect someone to call me out from time to time.”
Her Divorce
Porsha married Simon Guobadia in November 2022 but filed for divorce in February 2024. Their split was finalized in June 2025.
