DJ Zinhle Breaks Down Over Hurtful Comment About Her Husband, Issues Emotional Apology to Fans

Award-winning DJ and entrepreneur DJ Zinhle has spoken candidly about the emotional impact of harsh social media comments, especially those aimed at her marriage. The Umlilo hitmaker revealed that one particular remark about her husband, Bongani “Mörda” Mohosana, left her deeply wounded — so much so that she’s unsure whether she’ll ever fully recover from it.

The situation escalated after a discussion on the popular podcast Spreading Humours, hosted by Seemah with co-hosts Yanda Woods and Zille. During the conversation, Seemah expressed her views on relationships and said:
“Men will embarrass you… He seems like such a decent guy. You’d look at him and think Zinhle won here kanti yinja (but he’s a dog).”

The clip went viral within hours, and for the first time in a while, DJ Zinhle felt compelled to respond.

In a heartfelt TikTok video, she addressed how painful the statement was, saying:
“I’ve been trying to ignore the disrespect… but nothing hit harder than someone calling my husband inja. I don’t know if I’m going to recover from that one.”

What hurt her even more was that she personally knew Seemah.
According to Zinhle, they had exchanged DMs and she had supported Seemah’s business in the past.

“The thing that punished me the most is that I know her. She could have reached out to me if she was concerned. Instead, she went straight to TikTok to call my husband inja. You guys are doing a lot.”

After her emotional outburst sparked widespread attention, DJ Zinhle released another TikTok video — this time apologizing to her fans for giving attention to negativity.

She said:
“I want to apologise. I’ve been quiet for so long, and the first time I respond, it’s to something negative. If I was someone defending DJ Zinhle online and I saw that, I’d be upset.”

She went on to thank her followers for their unwavering support:
“I don’t take your support for granted. You are the only people that deserve my attention.”

Fans quickly filled her comment section with messages of love and encouragement. One supporter, Tshegofatso Mokgadi, wrote:
“Love you bestie, remember behind the camera you’re also human and your feelings matter too.”
