Nigerian singer Kingsley Okonkwo, popularly known as Kcee, has opened up about the strategy that has kept him consistent in the music industry for over a decade.

Speaking during an episode of the Selah Meditate podcast, the Limpopo crooner explained that while many artistes become discouraged when their songs fail to gain traction, he adopts the opposite approach — he intensifies his efforts.

According to him, releasing more music increases the likelihood of eventually landing a hit.

“Some of my colleagues can drop a song, and if it goes bad, they go back to their shell and become sad. But that can’t be me,” Kcee said.

“I can drop 22 songs — maybe it is the 25th one that will become a hit. I don’t care because consistency is key.”

Kcee noted that although he has faced numerous challenges in the industry, many people are unaware because he maintains a flamboyant public image regardless of his personal struggles.

He also reflected on the power of positive manifestation, recalling how he and his brother, business mogul E-Money, spoke their dreams into existence.

“When me and E-Money were living in Ajegunle, if you asked us where we were living, we would say Ikeja. And we were not lying or pretending — we were dreaming, prophesying into the future,” he said.

He added that eventually they moved to Ikeja, a milestone he described as the fulfilment of their early affirmations.
