Billie Eilish has revealed that her Hit Me Hard and Soft 3D concert film will officially hit cinemas in March 2026. The Grammy-winning singer announced the project during the final stop of her global tour in San Francisco on Sunday night, before later confirming it on Instagram.
The concert movie, titled “Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D)”, was co-directed by Billie Eilish and acclaimed filmmaker James Cameron. Paramount Pictures is set to release the project in theaters worldwide on 20 March 2026.
Sharing a black-and-white behind-the-scenes photo of herself and Cameron reviewing footage on a stage in Manchester,Billie Eilish wrote:
“HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR (LIVE IN 3D) coming to theatres on March 20th 2026!!!! This has been one of my favorite tours everrrrrr and being able to capture it and co-direct this film with @jamescameronofficial has truly been a dream come true. can’t wait for you all to see it.”
Cameron, known for Titanic and Avatar, posted the same image on Instagram, describing the collaboration as “an honor and a blast,” and confirming the film’s 2026 theatrical debut.
Eilish first hinted at the project in July during her four-night run at Co-op Live in Manchester—the venue where the movie was filmed. Speaking to fans, she teased:
“I’m working on something very, very special with somebody named James Cameron and it’s going to be in 3D… these four shows here in Manchester, you and me are part of a thing that I am making with him.”
The Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour, launched in support of her third studio album, began in September 2024. The upcoming 3D film adds to Eilish’s growing list of screen projects, which include the 2021 concert film Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles and the documentary Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry.
