Nollywood actress Anita Joseph has made it clear she is not ready to enter a new relationship after ending her marriage to MC Fish.
The actress, who recently confirmed her marriage had crashed, said she is currently single and not seeking a partner. She revealed that since the announcement, she has been receiving numerous calls from men expressing interest.
In a post on social media, Anita stressed that she needs time to heal and clear her head after several years of marriage.
“I’m single, yes,” she wrote. “I’m not searching, please. You guys should not crash my phone.”
She added that her time in the marriage should not be trivialised, noting that “eight years and 11 days is not eight months,” and emphasised her need for space to process everything.
Anita also lightheartedly appealed for work opportunities, urging fans and colleagues to offer her gigs rather than relationship proposals.
Her comments have sparked an online backlash, with many supporters applauding her honesty and encouraging her to focus on herself during this period.
