White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt has announced she is expecting her second child, making history as the first person to hold the role while pregnant.
She shared the news in a social media post, revealing that she and her husband, real estate developer Nicholas Riccio, are expecting a baby girl in May 2026. The couple welcomed their first child, a son, in 2024.
Describing the pregnancy as a blessing, Leavitt thanked President Donald Trump and White House chief of staff Susie Wiles for fostering what she called a “pro-family environment” in the White House.
Leavitt, 27, became the youngest-ever White House press secretary when she assumed office last January. She previously served as press secretary to Trump’s 2024 campaign and worked in the White House press office during his first administration.
