Trump Confirms He’s Not Granting Diddy a Presidential Pardon

Sean “Diddy” Combs reportedly asked President Donald Trump for a presidential pardon, but Trump has made it clear he has no plans to grant clemency to the music mogul.

In a recent interview with The New York Times, Trump said that Combs wrote him a letter requesting a pardon — a request the president said he is not considering. Trump even teased, “Oh, would you like to see that letter?” but did not produce it when asked.

The topic came up during Trump’s discussion of potential pardons, but Trump’s response was short and definitive: he isn’t planning to pardon Combs.

Reports note that Diddy’ legal troubles have been widely publicised, and speculation about a possible pardon had become a talking point online. However, Trump also indicated that tensions between him and Combs — whose relationship soured after Combs openly criticised him — may influence his unwillingness to intervene.

Trump also ruled out clemency for other high-profile figures mentioned during the interview, signalling that there’s little chance of relief for Diddy coming from the White House.

As of now, neither Diddy nor his representatives have publicly responded to Trump’s comments, leaving his path forward without executive reprieve.
