Popular social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has reacted to claims by reality TV star Phyna, who described him as a “Very Dirty Boy” and blamed him for the breakdown of her relationship with actress Iyabo Ojo.
Phyna had earlier alleged that her closeness to VeryDarkMan played a major role in creating tension between her and Iyabo Ojo.
In a detailed public response, VeryDarkMan expressed disappointment over the accusation, insisting that his support for Phyna was genuine and never driven by personal interest. He said he consistently stood by the former Big Brother Naija winner at different stages of her career, including reposting promotional content for her movies and offering guidance on personal and professional matters.
According to VDM, he remained accessible whenever Phyna reached out — whether she needed advice, paid promotional support, or assistance with family-related issues — stressing that he often listened and helped without expecting anything in return.
He questioned what personal benefit he could have gained from the relationship, emphasizing that his actions were motivated by loyalty and goodwill rather than self-interest.
Reflecting on past issues, VeryDarkMan suggested that greed and certain decisions eventually strained their relationship, noting that several people who once supported and promoted Phyna have since distanced themselves as public interest in her declined.
Despite the fallout, the influencer ended on a conciliatory note, saying he harbors no bitterness and genuinely wishes Phyna success in her future endeavors.
