Early Life and Education
Dakore Akande (born on October 14, 1978, 47 years old) is from Bayelsa State, Nigeria. She is the first daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Egbuson.
She spent her early years in Lagos and Bauchi with her parents, who later separated. During her primary school years at Corona, she was already showing an interest in theatre, television, music, etc. She also continued her secondary education at Federal Government Girls’ College.
Dakore Egbuson-Akande applied to read Mass Communication at the University of Lagos, but due to ongoing strikes, she was unable to complete her studies.

With her performances in the movies Peace of Flesh, Emotional Crack, and Shattered Illusion, Dakore Egbuson-Akande made her acting debut in the Nigerian film industry and was soon highly acclaimed for her natural ability.
After becoming a wife, Dakore Akande took five years off before making an outstanding comeback with hits like Fifty (2015), Isoken (2017), and Reel Love (2025).

Besides her acting career, Dakore Akande also produces films.
