PSG Defender Lucas Hernandez Accused of Human Trafficking and Exploitation

Paris Saint-Germain defender Lucas Hernandez and his partner, Victoria Triay, have been accused of human trafficking and labour exploitation by a family of Colombian workers, allegations that are now under investigation by French authorities.

According to reports, the World Cup–winning left-back and his partner allegedly employed a family of five between September 2024 and November 2025 to work as security personnel and babysitters. The family’s lawyer, Lola Dubois, claims they were hired without proper legal documentation and made to work up to 82 hours a week without rest days.

Dubois further alleged that the family received inadequate pay, were not given formal employment contracts, and were paid solely in cash. She argued that the lack of contracts deprived them of basic rights such as social security coverage and unemployment benefits, adding that such omissions were particularly troubling given Hernandez’s access to legal counsel.

The case centres on the family’s daughter, who reportedly first came into contact with Triay while working as her nurse in Colombia. She claimed she was offered a job in France and promised legal work documentation within six months. However, she alleged that the documents never materialised, even after her parents and brothers later joined her.

The family also claimed they were forced to sign confidentiality agreements in early 2025 and were given fake identity cards. It was only in October 2025, following a dispute between the daughter and Triay, that they were allegedly offered formal contracts. These documents reportedly described them as part-time workers earning €1,029 per month, a figure their lawyer says did not reflect their actual workload.

Additional claims include a dramatic incident in December 2024, when the family allegedly risked their lives during an attempted burglary at Hernandez’s home. According to the daughter, her father discharged a firearm to scare off intruders.

Hernandez and Triay have strongly denied all accusations. In a statement released through Hernandez’s agent, the couple said they felt betrayed and insisted they had acted in good faith, believing the family was in the process of regularising their legal status.

They described the accusations as deeply painful, stating that their gesture of trust and compassion had been turned into public attacks. The couple added that the matter is now before the appropriate legal authorities and called for restraint while the investigation continues.

The Versailles prosecutor’s office has confirmed that it is probing the allegations.
