“Your Size Has Never Canceled Your Worth” — Eniola Badmus Reflects on Powerful Body Transformation

Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has shared striking before-and-after photos of her body transformation, pairing the images with a message centered on self-worth, mental resilience, and intentional growth.

The 43-year-old actress took to her verified Instagram page on Friday, encouraging followers to separate body size from personal value.

“I need you to hear this from me…. being ‘fat’ is not the problem. Hating yourself is. Doubting yourself is. Believing you’re not enough is. That’s the real struggle,” she wrote.

She added, “Your size has never canceled your worth,” urging anyone pursuing weight loss to do so from a place of self-love rather than societal pressure.

“Transformation Starts in the Mind”

Eniola described her journey as a gradual process rooted in mental shifts rather than overnight change.

“I didn’t wake up one day different…. I made small, consistent decisions. And guess what? You can too. If I can do it, you can absolutely do it,” she stated.

She emphasized gratitude toward the body, advising followers to respect and appreciate what their bodies have carried them through.

“Respect it. Thank it. Celebrate it,” she wrote.

From 170kg to 90kg

Over the years, Eniola has openly documented her transformation. In 2025, while marking her 43rd birthday, she reflected on losing significant weight — moving from approximately 170kg to 90kg.

She described the change as life-improving, noting better breathing, improved sleep, healthier eating habits, and an overall sense of physical and spiritual lightness.

However, she has also acknowledged that the journey was not entirely easy, admitting she sometimes missed aspects of her former body’s fullness while remaining committed to a healthier lifestyle.

Career and Public Role

Beyond her transformation story, Eniola Badmus is known for her roles in films such as Jenifa, Omo Ghetto, and most recently Love and New Notes. She also currently serves as Special Assistant to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas.

Her latest post continues to frame her transformation not merely as physical change, but as a broader message about confidence, resilience, and self-acceptance — regardless of body size.
