Veteran journalist and politician Dele Momodu has revealed that efforts are underway to settle the legal dispute between music star Davido and Sophia Momodu over child custody.
Momodu, who is the publisher of Ovation Magazine, made the disclosure while responding to public calls urging him to step into the ongoing custody battle involving his niece, Sophia Momodu, and the singer.
CREEBHILLS reports that Davido had a week withdraw the custody case, after Sophia’s lawyer made reference to the circumstances surrounding the death of his late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke in court.
Addressing concerns from members of the public, he assured that discussions are currently taking place between the Adeleke family and Sophia’s family in a bid to amicably resolve the dispute.
He also noted that he is presently in Liberia to commiserate with former Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor over the death of her only child.
“Nothing to worry about. Everything is going to be alright. We’re working behind the scenes. Please, keep everyone in your prayers.”
