Cristiano Ronaldo has affirmed his commitment to Saudi Arabia, stating that he sees his future in the country despite ongoing speculation about a potential departure from Al-Nassr FC.
The Al-Nassr captain made the declaration while addressing reports linking him with a move away from the club at the end of the season. Recent rumours had suggested that the Portuguese forward could seek an exit following claims of dissatisfaction over the club’s perceived lack of transfer ambition.
The speculation intensified after reports emerged that Ronaldo had staged a protest over the issue. However, he responded in emphatic fashion on the pitch, leading Al-Nassr to a 4-0 victory over Al-Hazem FC in a Saudi Pro League clash on Saturday.
Ronaldo scored twice in the encounter, while Kingsley Coman and Ângelo Gabriel each added a goal to seal a comprehensive win for the hosts.
Reaffirming his stance, Ronaldo said, “I belong to Saudi Arabia. I want to continue here,” as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
“It’s a country that welcomed me, as well as my family and friends. I’m happy here and want to continue here.”
