American rapper Future has opened up about his personal life, revealing that his greatest regret is not loving and treating women better.
The artist, born Nayvadius DeMun Cash, reflected on his struggles with romantic relationships during an interview with Hot 97. Future, who has nine children with different women, attributed some of his past challenges in relationships to the absence of a strong male role model while growing up.
According to him, he never witnessed his mother experience genuine love from a partner, which shaped his understanding of relationships.
“My biggest regret in life is, I should have loved harder. I should have found a way to love the right way.
“I came from nothing and I didn’t have a person or a male role model to show me how to treat a woman. I have never seen someone buy my mum a flower,” he expressed.
Future explained that his past relationships became his primary way of learning about relationship dynamics. However, he clarified that he is not using his upbringing as an excuse for how he handled certain relationships in the past.
The rapper added that he is now focused on growth, learning from his mistakes, and making better decisions moving forward.
